"I just wanted to update you on Tiki. He is so sweet. He has really eased the
burden on my heart since losing Charlie. He plays with my husbands Quaker and he just loves to be held in my hands like he is sleeping. He has not went thru his
terrible twos yet, but we are hoping for the best LOL. He is very affectionate and
loves to play with my sons. I really do believe that your birds are the best.
Charlie was the greatest and we miss him, but Tiki keeps us laughing all the time.
He is like a little comedian. He will hang upside down from one foot and laugh and
then swing to the other side of the cage, my hubby calls him his "little monkey".
Thank you again for all the midnight and 4 a.m. feedings so that my baby could come
home. Thanks again, Carol

I thought you may be interested in a letter I sent to a friend. Thank you so much for helping me with my Quaker Frankie, when she was sick. Yvonne
I have a story! I hope I don't bore you with it. My neighbor and landlady Kandice has an aviary. She raises various birds such as: conures, miniature parrotlets, quakers and sells them with great success. People will drive many miles to get one of her birds because she hand raises them and feeds them and her birds are so gentle and good with people and children. She bought a rescued quaker parrot by the name of Frankie. I fell in love with her and bought her from Kandice. Frankie is missing a toe because someone was mean to her. She is a good bred bird because she has a band on her leg. I bought her a very large cage with all the luxuries that I made myself and some I bought. She got cold one night and caught cold because I had poison oak last month and had to have the air on 68 at night. Kandice told me she might not make it because she was so weak and could not stand. By the advice of Kandice, I kept her in a temperature controlled tank and hand fed her every day and night for two weeks electrolytes, calcium and cereal. She is back to her normal self eating birdseed and ringing her bells in her palace of a cage. Before all this happened she had been trying to say, "I love you" for some two years now. Yesterday, I was in the bathroom getting ready and she said it 3 times. I was just so overwhelmed. She sounded like a child when she said it. It was so sweet.
Frankie
This is update on my neighbor, she and Frankie have a new addition to the family. Yvonne has given a wonderful home to Goldie one of our hand fed and socialized Jenday Conure babies.

Kandice,
Wow! Mercury and Hercules arrived in wonderful shape and are adapting
to their new environment quickly. We took them home from the airportand fed them, no lack of interest in food and playing with toys. This
morning we got up, and they were ready for more food and our company.
We played with them for a while this morning, and they seem to like us
pretty well, very affectionate and interested in being with us. I
usually wear jewelry, and I can see I won't be doing that around home!
I expected a little more hesitation on their part, but that's not
happening. John is just thrilled, and we're having fun getting to know
them. They've been a little surprised when they've heard the finches or
parakeets talking, but they'll adapt to that in short order. Thought it might help you rest a little easier, knowing that this has
gone so well. We really appreciate having these little guys.
