The Quaker parakeet Originates from South America around Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil. They are said to get they’re name from the gray coloring on their chest that looks like the bibs worn by the devotees of the Quaker religion.
They usually are really good talkers, and a great personality. Quakers are outlawed in a few states so it is a good idea to check with your own state regulations. We breed the original green Quaker only.
Quakers are social with other parrots when properly introduced. Pictured one the left is Lola the Quaker and Charlie the Jenday Conure. My great nephew Austin is on the right with Lola our Quaker. When ever I have young ones interacting with the parrots it is with supervision and guidance.
